In February of 2015, Glenn Permuy, Senior Executive for Special and International Initiatives for the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, visited Budapest and the Boys & Girls Activity Centers of Hungary, and came away very impressed by the club’s programs and the professionalism of the staff.

“The staff is highly skilled and professional, the programs run there are of the highest quality… They hit all points of the BGCA mission statement of providing a positive, safe learning environment with a focus on skill development and making a difference,” Permuy wrote in a letter of recommendation (provide hyperlink to copy of letter here) he provided to BGAC.

As the only Boys & Girls Club operating in Europe, BGAC is very grateful to the recognition Mr. Permuy gave it.

“Having someone as qualified and respected as Glenn Permuy come here and see our operation and give it such a ringing endorsement is a big boost to our confidence,” said Monika Horvath, founder and Director of Manó-Világ Kft. “It tells us that we are on the right path in providing quality bilingual education and programs to the children of Hungary. We hope his letter of recommendation will help us in getting the financial and material support we need to continue to grow our programs and make them better.”

Heading To School

School PWEB-2015-CSATA-SULIVARO-PLAKATreparation Course for our next years’ students

Every year, Boys and Girls Activity Centers of Hungary holds a series of prep courses in the Csata School designed for new students to get to know the teachers who will be teaching them the following school year.

In March of 2015, BGAC again held these prep courses with a significant number of participants attending. In addition to familiarizing children with our teachers, the prep courses introduce prospective students to our programs: Art, Drama, Healthy Habits, Interactive Board and Sports.
Please be aware that we do these prep courses every year in March, and you can see for yourself what type of programs we run and the teachers who will teach them. Please check the Web site in January for next year’s schedule of prep courses.
